The new Era of Siege, called Siege 1.5 was featured in the Ragnarok Gravity Festival 2007. The Siege 1.5 would be implemented in Schwaltzwald and Arunafeltz areas. This was implemented in kRO last September 2007 on Schwaltzwald and December 2007 on Arunafeltz. 10 forts in total are planned for this new siege system, 5 in Schwarzwald and 5 in Arunafeltz. Siege 1.5 does not replace the existing siege system, with sieges occuring at different times.

New siege features:

  • Bans warp portals in areas and provides one single battlefield
  • Has strategic points and castle gates
  • Make players strategically use the flag of their hideout

Stones of Protection

In Ragnarok siege 1.5, there is an emperium and two stones of protection in each castle. The stones are the first line of defense of the castle. The enemies must first destroy these stones in order to advance and get through the emperium. The places in which these stones are placed are called base.

If the defenders of the castle manage to protect these bases or so called “stones of protection“, enemies could not go to the Emperium room. This is a good because a number of players already have godly items such as the Mejingards. The emperium would just lasts for merely 10 seconds or less. It would be best for guild masters to invest in the defense of these pillars of stones.

These stones can be revived once destroyed, given an ample amount of time by any member in the castle. The stone’s status can be verified through an NPC.

Barriers

When the stones of protections are destroyed, the enemies still need to go through the barriers. These are like doors and there are three of them in the castle. However, unlike the stones of protection, you couldn’t rebuild the destroyed barriers. The barriers will be rebuild unless the castle changes owner.

Flags

Within the castle there are numerous flags called Link. These flags could warp you in places within the restrictions of barriers. Near the emperium, there are a lot of flags to use as a portal to the convenience of the members of the guilds. Players must be familiar on how these flags are connected.
